Special Session

A special session is organised to give Early Career Researchers (ECR) or a Higher Degree Research students (HDR) working on their Masters or PhD research, the opportunity to informally present their work as a poster on Wednesday the 7th of December.

This session aims at providing ECRs and HDRs with the opportunity to participate in an international conference, while their research is still “work in progress” and not yet ready for conference presentation as refereed papers. This way they could get some valuable feedback and have discussions with peers and experts who would not normally be so accessible to them.

To participate in this session, you are invited to submit an abstract of about 300 words describing the research questions you are addressing and the aims and significance of your research project. Abstracts will be reviewed as “yes/no” by the organising committee, but would NOT comply with E1 DEST reviewing. While accepted abstracts will not be part of the conference proceedings, they will be put together with the booklet of abstracts made available at the event.

Submit abstracts to dicta2005@aprs.org.au for consideration for inclusion in the special session.

 Important dates:

Abstracts are due by Friday 4 November 2005.

Notification of Acceptance by Friday 11 November 2005.
